The Global AIDS Alliance website allows us to provide you with valuable information about the fight against global AIDS and our program activities. This website also provides you with opportunities to take action and make donations to support our valuable work. The following statement discloses the Global AIDS Alliance’s privacy policies for its website. What information do we collect, and how do we use it?
When you visit the Global AIDS Alliance website, we collect some non-identifying basic information, such as total number of visitors, pages viewed, and other non-personally identifiable information. We use this information to improve our website. The Global AIDS Alliance does not collect any personal information when you simply browse our website.

The Global AIDS Alliance does require your personal information when you choose to make an online donation. Specifically, we request your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and credit card information. We use this information to process your donation(s), to verify credit card data, to provide tax-deductible receipts for tax purposes, and to keep you informed about the Global AIDS Alliance’s programs. Credit card information you submit in order to make a donation is used only for that particular transaction and is not stored by the Global AIDS Alliance. Online donations to the Global AIDS Alliance are processed by the CyberSource Corporation, which has its own privacy policy posted online at http://www.cybersource.com/privacy.xml.

The Global AIDS Alliance also requests personal information from website visitors who sign up to receive regular email action alerts or other information about our program activities via email. Again, we request your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address. We use this information to provide the email communications you request and to keep you informed about the Global AIDS Alliance’s programs. You will always be given the option to "unsubscribe" or "opt-out" of such communications.

The Global AIDS Alliance does not send cookies, or small pieces of data, to your browser or hard drive. Our online donation processing agent, CyberSource, also uses "session cookies" so that they can properly verify your identity while you are making an online donation. These session cookies are not linked to any personally identifiable information.

Finally, the Global AIDS Alliance does not knowingly collect any personal information from a child without the consent of the child's parent(s). Children under the age of 13 should obtain parental consent before making an online donation or signing up for email communications from the Global AIDS Alliance.

Do we share your information?
The Global AIDS Alliance does not share any of the personal information you submit to make online donations with any third-party organizations other than our credit card processing agent. In addition, we do not sell or rent personal information you submit in order to receive email action alerts or other information about our program activities via email. From time to time, we may agree with other charitable organizations to contact each other's supporters in order to advance our shared goals. How do we ensure the security of online donations?
The Global AIDS Alliance relies on the support of private individuals, and our website and processing systems incorporate a number of security measures in order to ensure that your online donation remains secure. Our online donation processing agent, CyberSource, has been certified to be compliant with the Visa Cardholder Information Security Program, the bankcard industry's most stringent security standard. In addition, CyberSource uses a variety of security measures, including use of 3DES encryption for transmission of donation information; physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards; sophisticated security monitoring tools; and periodic security audits by independent security experts. The Global AIDS Alliance also has appropriate security measures in place at our offices to protect against the loss or misuse of any personal information collected from you. Credit card information you submit in order to make a donation is used only for that particular transaction and is not stored by the Global AIDS Alliance.
